Sorry it has been so long since we've updated. We got a new roof a couple of months ago. It's amazing how much better it makes the house look. We also had a new patio put in the backyard. Last weekend we did some marathon landscaping. Most of the 5 yards of top soil went to the side of the house by the driveway. We raised the soil next to the house at least 1 1/2 block courses so water will now drain away from the house. We created a new planting bed in the front of the house. We put down a weed barrier in all the beds - no more weeds? Wishfull thinking. We then spread 8 yards of mulch between the beds, with the extra going to the neighbors landscaping. We hope to plant the beds in the fall, but we did plant some viney stuff next to the rusty chain link fence. The plan is for growies to cover up the fence. Click here to see some pictures.
